![]() ![]() rc-calc indicates a ~1-1.5 minute decrease in flight time going down to a 16" prop. That is where I am slightly conflicted though. This is to hopefully get a slightly more responsive quad and have more overhead for lifting capacity since I don't plan on making it an X8. I deviated from chuenwe's build by stepping down to a 16" prop and going up to a 570kv motor instead of a 490. My plan was to follow chuenwe's build of his 32 minute FPV quad ( ) although using a simple quadcopter configuration as opposed to an X8 since I currently have no desire to lift a heavy camera or gimbal, right now I just want to lift FPV gear and once I get comfortable flying the new quad I'd like the option to mount my GoPro and a eventually a 2-axis gimbal. Having recently invested heavily in FPV equipment I've decided to move on to a Tarot Ironman 650 frame from my current F550 clone frame.
